Ecceukch brings the excellence of European extra virgin olive oil to the Speciality & Fine Food Fair in London
The 2025 edition of the Speciality & Fine Food Fair, one of the most eagerly awaited events on the international food and beverage scene, is set to open its doors. From 9 to 10 September 2025, at Olympia London, the event will host the ECCEUKCH project, dedicated to promoting the excellence of European PDO and PGI extra virgin olive oil
London, 9 September 2025 – European PDO and PGI certified extra virgin olive oil will be showcased at the Speciality & Fine Food Fair, a key event for buyers, distributors and operators in the global agri-food sector, thanks to the participation of the ECCEUKCH project – The excellence of European olive growing in the United Kingdom and Switzerland, co-funded by the European Union.
The three-year programme, promoted by the Tuscan Association of Olive Growers OL.MA. S.a.c. (OP OLMA), OP Latium and the EAC – Association of Exporters of Crete, aims to boost awareness and consumption of European PDO and PGI certified extra virgin olive oil in two strategic markets: the United Kingdom and Switzerland. For this reason, participation in trade fairs in the target countries, and in particular, participation in the Speciality & Fine Food Fair, represents a prime opportunity to engage with highly qualified operators and consolidate a presence in a dynamic and competitive market such as the UK.
The Speciality & Fine Food Fair is one of the leading platforms dedicated to food innovation and new consumer trends, attracting thousands of professionals from around the world. The event brings together companies, retailers, importers and catering professionals, offering an ideal setting for developing business relationships, discovering new products and exploring developments in the sector. Over the two days of the event, the Project will offer visitors guided tastings, informative sessions and in-depth discussions focusing on the nutritional, health and cultural characteristics of European extra virgin olive oil certified as PDO and PGI. Attendees will thus have the opportunity to gain a first-hand understanding of the quality, traceability and sustainability of European production, a true symbol of the Mediterranean diet.
The project will have a dedicated space at the fair – stand 1140 – where visitors will be welcomed by the EAC – Association of Exporters of Crete, representing the partnership.
Participation in the Speciality & Fine Food Fair represents a key milestone in the ECCEUKCH project, which combines digital communication activities with experiential initiatives to engage consumers, buyers and stakeholders in the agri-food sector.
